After 35 years of working leather, Beverly Young decided to make her hobby a
business. In 2006, she learned the art of saddle making from master saddle maker,
Bill Gomer, in an intensive one-on-one class. She then joined Colorado Saddle Makers
Association and has continued her education through many saddle makers in this
organization who willingly pass on their knowledge. She feels truly honored that one of
these, Pete Gorrel, has become a mentor for her.

Beverly is an avid horsewoman, having been involved in competitive team roping, goat
tying, cutting and reining. She's competed in Western and English performance and
halter classes. She completed judging two out of three shows necessary to obtain
judging status for the American Horse Show Association. She has also taught riding,
worked as a vet tech, shod horses and calved out for a local ranch. These experiences
have provided her with a working knowledge of horses, tack and rider needs. They,
along with her previous tooling and leatherworking knowledge, allowed her a natural
transition into saddle making.

She feels truly blessed to be in this profession. Each day Beverly strives to achieve
the craftsmanship necessary to produce a quality product that you, as a prospective
client, will be proud to own.
